The enduring appeal of the genre is also due to its openness to historical and cultural movements – such as feminism, gender studies, queer politics, postmodernism – as well as to concepts drawn from specific fields of knowledge, such as sociology and psychology. Similarly relevant to the “metamorphoses of crime” are cultural exchanges among remote areas of the world, which add new perspectives to the genre’s representation of customs and ethnical issues.
[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_blurb _builder_version=”3.5.1″ header_font=”Roboto|300|||||||” header_text_color=”#476399″ header_font_size=”16px” body_font=”Roboto||||||||” body_text_color=”rgba(0,0,0,0.6)” body_font_size=”12px” border_width_top=”2px” border_color_top=”#dbbb03″ custom_margin=”30px|||” custom_padding=”10px|||” disabled_on=”on|on|off”]Plenary speakers will be Eric Peter Sandberg (City University of Hong Kong) and Maurizio Ascari (University of Bologna).
[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ specialty=”on” _builder_version=”3.5.1″ custom_margin=”0px|||” custom_padding=”0px||0||false|false”][et_pb_column type=”3_4″ specialty_columns=”3″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_row_inner custom_padding=”0px||0px|” admin_label=”Riga” _builder_version=”3.5.1″ custom_margin=”0px||0px|”][et_pb_column_inner type=”4_4″ saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″ parallax=”off” parallax_method=”on”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.5.1″]The Link Campus University research team will present a special panel titled “DETECting L’allieva: Popular crime narratives and the formation of a transcultural European Identity”. The international distribution and circulation of Italian crime productions;
– The hybridization between different genres, and particularly (in the case of L’allieva) between crime and romantic comedy;
– Changes, innovation, and stereotypes in gender identities, with particular attention to female characters in the role of detective;
– The relationships between audiovisual narratives, literary narratives, and transmedia fictional worlds;
–
